Targeted competences
The training "Physicist Engineer" has for objective to form engineers with a wide scientific background capable of facing technical and scientific challenges. We offer to our students a knowledge and a practical knowledge to bring of innovation in the domains of Nanotechnologies, Material Physics and devices in the micro and nano scales, and in the field of Instrumentation-Sensor.
The training allows to develop transverse abilities to act :
i) in the field of the conception and of the development of high technology systems, on the knowledge of the physical properties of materials,
ii) in the field of the production with involvements in Project Driving, Quality, Failure Analysis and Management.
As a supplement to the general skills of the physicist engineer, two engineer's profiles are to be distinguished according to the choice of one of both options during the last year:
- Option Micro-nanotechnology and Microsystems: Technologist of Microelectronics and Microsystems, developing abilities to conduct Research and Development on materials for the microelectronics, on devices in micro and nano scales as well as on the related manufacturing processes.
- Option Instrumentation and Components: Architect of the data acquisition system and the test-bed : from the physical sensor and the data acquisition to the data processing.
The five-year engineering programme is organized in semesters as follows:
- a common core programme in the first year
- 2 years of pre-specialization (4 pre-specializations)
- 2 years of specialization (10 specializations)
25% of the course is devoted to human sciences (economics-management, languages, communication, sports).
Compulsory internships for a total of 36 weeks.
Compulsory period of 12 weeks abroad.
Compulsory minimum level in English required (TOEIC 750), 2nd language.
Courses with capitalizable credits.
Requirements to enter next year of study : 60 ECTS validated, distributed in 20 units.
Professional status
The diplôme d'ingénieur confers, in France, the professional status of engineer
